Traditional cuisine of Tachov region on the conference of Czech Ethnographic Society

Gabriela Fatková and Tereza Šlehoferová presented the results of the current research of traditional food in Tachov region at the conference of the Czech Ethnographic Society, held in September 2017 in Loucký klášter in Znojmo. Third day of the conference they presented their paper and in their contribution they dealt primarily with the issue of food as a symbolic boundary in the collective memory of the local population. Coincidentally, the event was attended also by Jiří Mačuda, who coordinated a similar cross-border project in the South Moravian region. The parallels between those two regions, that have experienced a similar population change over the last 100 years, have been the subject of interesting discussion.
